Getting started
Zul’Drak can be accessed by two huge stairways. One is located at 93,58 in Crystalsong Forest and the other is located at 89,24 in Dragonblight.
The Ampitheater of Anguish
Zul’Drak is home to the Ampitheater of Anguish (48,56), where players can join forces to fight powerful elite mobs, much like the “Ring of Blood” quests in Nagrand.
The quest chain offers excellent XP and rewards for the amount of time spent and it doesn’t intefere with this guide, so be on the lookout for groups.
You can start the chain by accepting the optional breadcrumb quest offered by Shifty Vickers, a goblin wandering around Dalaran Sewers.
Alternatively, you can skip this quest and just go directly to the Ampitheater.

-
Ability 4 - throws any Vargul NPCs that you may be carrying.
Throughout the quest, swarms of Scourge mobs will be coming after you from miles around. You don’t need to worry about them too much, unless your health seems to be dropping too quickly. If Gymer dies, the mobs will simply despawn.
If your health drops to around half, you will get a warning that “Gymer needs storm cloud badly!” At this point you must use ability 3 over a Storm Cloud to recover health.
Prince Navarius is at 32,63, and Thrym will spawn shortly after killing him. Algar the Chosen can be found flying around the Reliquary of Pain at 29,46.

Betrayal
Read the following strategy before starting the Betrayal event.
Upon starting the event, you will be teleported to the uppermost level of Voltarus, where Drakuru will summon several Blightblood Trolls.
Shortly after, your disguise will fail and you won’t be able to put it back on. When this happens, use the Scepter of Domination on a Blightblood Troll to gain control of it.
Drakuru is too powerful to fight one on one, so you must use a troll to tank and DPS while you stay alive by avoiding Drakuru’s AoE spells.
Keep moving while fighting Drakuru to avoid his powerful AoE and non-targeted ranged attacks.Your pet has three main abilities:
-
Ability 1 - your main damage ability, use this each time it comes off cooldown.
-
Ability 2 - use each time it comes off cooldown to reduce incoming damage.
-
Ability 3 - heals you (not your pet). Use it whenever your health is low.
It is almost certain that your pet will die before Drakuru - luckily, you can charm additional trolls as needed. Just make sure you wait until the previous troll has died before charming another, as doing it too soon has been known to reset the encounter.
When you are ready, talk to Overlord Drakuru and select “I am ready to accompany you, Drakuru.” Have fun!
Once the fight is over, the Lich King appears and destroys Drakuru, leaving only his skull. Loot Drakuru’s Skull, as well as Drakuru’s Last Wish.
Use Drakuru’s Last Wish to be teleported back to the Reliquary of Pain.

It is possible to solo this quest, provided that you can stay alive long enough to get the Prophet down to 75% health at the start of the fight, as the fight will continue for as long as Har’koa is alive. If you die, simply run back and rejoin the fight.
If you die during the second phase of the fight, simply run back - Har’koa should still be fighting!Clear your way to the Convocation Summoning Circle and use Prophet of Akali Convocation to summon Prophet of Akali. Good luck!

Look for 12x Gundrak Raptor Egg on the ground near the trees just outside of Dubra’Jin. Gundrak Raptors also have a low chance to drop them.

If you haven’t yet completed the Ampitheater of Anguish quest chain, you should be just shy of achieving The Empire of Zul’Drak. I’d recommend doing it now, if only for the XP.
